Mankulam Division

comprises of luxuriant forests with undulating terrain.The plan area is situated in the High Ranges of Southern Western Ghats. The whole area falls in Mankulam Panchayath of Devikulam Taluk. The area is with full of perennial waterfalls and presence of wildlife.

One of the areas under the Mankulam Division, the Anakulam, is unique for sure sighting of elephants come as herds to drink water and replenish nutrients from the stream flowing at Anakulam. Mankulam is famous for Kainagiri waterfalls, Nakshathrakuthu waterfall, Chinnarkuthu waterfall, Perumbankuthu waterfall and Kozhiyalakudy waterfall.

The Karinthiyar Aar and Menachery Aar flows through this area. The highest peak in this area is Sanku Mala. Many peaks like Parvathimala, Bhagavathy para and Oosimala are also with high biodiversity of flora and fauna. Mankulam Forest Division with a total extent of 90.0575 sq.km forest areas is divided into Mankulam Range (51.8772 sq.km) and Anakulam Range (38.1803 sq.km). Munnar Wildlife Division and Munnar Division boarders it in the north, Munnar Division in the east and south, Munnar Division and Malayattoor Division in the west.
